Chai spice is one of my favorite flavors and it makes a great twist on classic oatmeal. This oatmeal is tender, creamy, and warm. The sweet chai flavor is perfectly balanced. Best of all it is ready in 10 mintues. It’s an easy breakfast for rushed weekday mornings. This recipe adds some variety to your basic oatmeal routine.
Chai spiced oatmeal so simple to make. Most, if not all, of the ingredients you will already have on hand. It comes together in just 10 minutes and the oats come out tender, not mushy. You can garnish the oatmeal with raisins and chopped nuts. Not only does the garnish make it way more appealing to the eye, it also adds different textures and flavors into each bite.

They are also very high in fiber and contain lots of antioxidants. The chai spices are also excellent for your health, each containing it’s own healing properties. Creamy tender oatmeal flavor with a chai spice mixture and sweetened with agave nectar. Try this new take on a classic breakfast staple.
- 3 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk
- 2 cups old fashion oats
- 1/3 cup agave nectar
- 3/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ginger
- 1/2 tsp cardamom
- 1/8 tsp nutmeg
- 1 pinch black pepper
- 1/8 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (I used pecans)
In a medium saucepan bring almond milk to a boil. Add the oats, reduce the heat and simmer uncovered for 5 minutes, stirring often. Remove from the heat, cover, and set aside 3 minutes.
Add the agave nectar and spices, stir to incorporate. Taste and adjust spices and sweetness as desired.
Spoon the oatmeal into two bowls and garnish generously with raisins and chopped nuts. Enjoy!
