This easy french toast recipe has all the flavor and texture of the classic version without any of the animal products.
In a wide shallow bowl mix together all ingredients from almond milk to salt. Allow mixture to sit for 5 minutes to thicken slightly.
Once mixture has thickened, stir again and add your first slice of bread. Soak for about 5 minutes, flipping halfway through. Stir the soaking mixture between each slice of bread. Use a wide shallow pan to soak several pieces at once.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1 tsp vegan margarine, move it around the pan as it melts until the whole surface is covered. Add your soaked slices and cook 4-6 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
